I initially came to be a part of the community here as an art teacher. It’s one of my passions . To see how healing art is rewarding. I’ve been on the board for the last three years and every years brings new challenges, I find that with the challenges come great rewards. I’m very proud of the work the board does .

'I’ve been in the centre since the blueprint stage in 1993 and a volunteer since 1999. I have previously served on the board. I was involved in wheelchair racing from 1989-2001. I’ve recently celebrated 37 years sober. My strength is being a voice for the disabled.

I feel that I will be a great Board member, as I can bring positive thoughts to the table and fresh ideas. I enjoy helping others. I joined the Gathering Place to volunteer to help those in need, I volunteer 5 days a week in our food bank which I absolutely love because I am helping those in need. I also host Karaoke 3 days a week which I Also love too ,
